2 Days Tanzania Safari

If you’re short on time but still want to experience some of Tanzania’s incredible wildlife, a 2 days safari is the perfect option. This tour combines visits to Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, offering an unforgettable opportunity to explore diverse landscapes and encounter a wide variety of animals in just two days.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Driving Time to the Park: 4 hours
Time in the Park: 8 hours
Accommodation: Camping, Mid-range, or Luxury lodge
Meals: Full board accommodation

You will depart from your hotel at 6:00 AM and head towards Tarangire National Park via Arusha City. The journey will take approximately 4 hours. Once inside the park, you’ll enjoy a full-day game drive, exploring its diverse landscapes, which include vast savannahs dotted with giant baobab trees and home to a large elephant population. Other wildlife you may encounter includes giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs.

Around 5:00 PM, you’ll leave the park and head to your camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s adventures.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
Driving Time to the Park: 1 hour
Time in the Park: 7-8 hours
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch (then transfer to Airport or Hotel for departure)

After an early breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your accommodation and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. The drive takes about 1 hour. Once at the crater, you’ll have 7-8 hours to explore this natural wonder, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife.

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the few places in Tanzania where you can find such a diverse mix of scenery and wildlife in one location, with breathtaking views of the caldera and a chance to see the Big Five. Expect to spot rhinos, elephants, lions, giraffes, hyenas, and pink flamingos.

After the game drive, you’ll begin your journey back to Moshi/Arusha or the airport, where the safari ends.
