4 Days Tanzania Safari (Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater)

This 4 days safari is the ideal way to explore some of Tanzania’s most famous wildlife parks within a short timeframe. Designed to accommodate those with limited time, this itinerary offers an incredible wildlife experience, allowing you to view a wide variety of animals across three stunning locations: Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel at 6:00 am. From there, we will drive to Tarangire National Park, passing through Arusha city on the way. The journey takes about 4 hours before we arrive at the park.

Tarangire is known for its large population of elephants and the iconic baobab trees that dot the landscape. During our 7-hour game drive, we will explore the park’s diverse habitats, where you may spot giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and antelopes, among others. At 5:00 pm, we will leave the park and drive to our campsite/lodge for a hearty dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will head towards the Serengeti National Park via the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the highlands of Karatu. As we descend into the Serengeti, you’ll be mesmerized by the endless plains stretching as far as the eye can see.

We will explore the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Serengeti. The Seronera River provides a vital water source that attracts a wide variety of animals, including lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, and more. You’ll have a full day of game viewing and an unforgettable opportunity to experience the heart of wild Africa.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we set off for another day of game viewing in the Serengeti, one of the largest wildlife parks in the world. Covering 1,400 km², we will focus on the North Serengeti, known for its diverse wildlife and concentration of big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

During this full-day game drive, you’ll encounter a wide range of animals and breathtaking landscapes. After a day of exploration, we’ll head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight accommodation. As temperatures can drop in the highlands, we recommend bringing warm clothes and light gloves.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Driving Time to the Park: 10 minutes
Time in the Park: 7-8 hours
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch (then transfer to the airport or hotel)

After an early breakfast, we will make a short drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, arriving at one of the most famous wildlife conservation areas in the world. The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its dramatic scenery and high concentration of wildlife.

Today, we’ll spend 7-8 hours exploring the crater floor, home to a wide variety of species including rhinos, elephants, lions, giraffes, and even pink flamingos around the crater’s lakes. The unique blend of wildlife and breathtaking landscapes makes this a highlight of the safari.

After our final game drive, we’ll make our way back to your hotel or transfer you to Moshi/Arusha for your departure or next destination.
