If you’re short on time but still want to experience some of Tanzania’s incredible wildlife, a 2 days safari is the perfect option. This tour combines visits to Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, offering an unforgettable opportunity to explore diverse landscapes and encounter a wide variety of animals in just two days.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Driving Time to the Park: 4 hours
Time in the Park: 8 hours
Accommodation: Camping, Mid-range, or Luxury lodge
Meals: Full board accommodation

You will depart from your hotel at 6:00 AM and head towards Tarangire National Park via Arusha City. The journey will take approximately 4 hours. Once inside the park, you’ll enjoy a full-day game drive, exploring its diverse landscapes, which include vast savannahs dotted with giant baobab trees and home to a large elephant population. Other wildlife you may encounter includes giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs.

Around 5:00 PM, you’ll leave the park and head to your camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s adventures.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
Driving Time to the Park: 1 hour
Time in the Park: 7-8 hours
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch (then transfer to Airport or Hotel for departure)

After an early breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your accommodation and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. The drive takes about 1 hour. Once at the crater, you’ll have 7-8 hours to explore this natural wonder, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife.

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the few places in Tanzania where you can find such a diverse mix of scenery and wildlife in one location, with breathtaking views of the caldera and a chance to see the Big Five. Expect to spot rhinos, elephants, lions, giraffes, hyenas, and pink flamingos.

After the game drive, you’ll begin your journey back to Moshi/Arusha or the airport, where the safari ends.

Hiking Kilimanjaro was a bucket list day trip and I was in good hands with chance venture tours. It was 100% the right choice. I’m a south Africa, traveled with a friends. We had solo hikers, couples, and 2 kids, friends in our group of 4.The group camaraderie was priceless. Chance venture tours are true professionals. I felt safe and supported the entire time, plus very well fed with tasty food and I can be a food snob sometimes too. They pick you up from airport, select a great hotel, help with any local excursions, check your gear- have gear you can rent if needed, daily medical checks on the mountain, morning wake ups w coffee or tea, snacks and hot tea during hikes.  Verified A dream came true
In September we climbed Kilimanjaro on the 7-day Lemosho route with Chance Venture Tours and we had an unforgettable time! Our guide Goodchance supported us at all times, motivated us with different songs and always took care of our health and well-being. He taught us a lot about the mountain, the landscape and the vegetation. We can now also speak a few words in Swahili. :-) We had a lot of laughs and unforgettable moments with the whole team, for which we are very grateful. The food was always fresh and lovingly prepared. It always tasted delicious. Many thanks to our chef Mokozi! Climbing Uhuru Peak was a dream come true. We reached the summit just in time for sunrise and were able to experience a wonderful morning atmosphere. A big thank you to our porters, Emmanuel, Calvin, Daniel, Gift, Elinami, Jemsi and Anolrd, who worked incredibly hard to support us. We will always remember this amazing week with these lovely people and thank them from the bottom of our hearts for everything. Keep up your positive attitude to life! Hakuna Matata! The guides were doing an awesome job. They care for everything specially for your safety and of course for your success to climb on top of Uhuru Peak. Beside they learned us african songs and making a lot of fun to enjoy the hike even more. Also they gave us interresting informations about the country, the people and the Vegetation.
