Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Central Serengeti

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00 AM. As we make our way to Central Serengeti (about a 6-hour drive), you’ll witness the vast, sweeping plains that give Serengeti its name, which means “endless plains” in the local Maasai language. During the afternoon game drive, keep an eye out for the “Big 5” – elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, and leopards – as well as the graceful impalas and other plains wildlife. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wild beauty, concluding the day with dinner and a relaxing night at your accommodation in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 2: Central Serengeti to North Serengeti

After breakfast, you have the option of starting the day with an early morning game drive or departing after a leisurely meal. We’ll explore more of the wildlife-rich Seronera region before heading north towards the Kogatende area. As the landscape transforms into hilly terrain, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, from zebras to buffaloes. After arriving in North Serengeti, you might get a chance to visit the Mara River, where the dramatic river crossings of the Great Migration take place. Dinner and overnight will be at your accommodation in North Serengeti.

Day 3: Full Day in North Serengeti

Today is dedicated to exploring North Serengeti. You can start with a relaxed breakfast or embark on an early morning game drive. Between July and October, this region is home to one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles—the Great Migration. TheMara River, filled with crocodiles and strong currents, poses a significant challenge for the thousands of wildebeest and zebras that cross it. If you’re lucky, you’ll witness this life-and-death struggle firsthand. Enjoy your picnic lunch surrounded by the wilderness, and continue your game drives before retiring for the night.

Day 4: North Serengeti to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, you’ll either enjoy a game drive in North Serengeti before departing for Central Serengeti or start your journey early. On the way back, keep an eye out for more wildlife as the terrain shifts back to the open plains of Seronera. Central Serengeti is known for its lion prides, and you might witness interactions among these majestic animals. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 5: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

In the morning, enjoy a final game drive in Serengeti National Park before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Known for its breathtaking beauty and rich wildlife, Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into your accommodation in Karatu or the Ngorongoro area. After dinner, prepare for an exciting day ahead in the crater

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Return to Arusha

The day starts with an early descent into Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll experience a 5-hour game drive. The crater floor is home to about 30,000 animals, including black rhinos, lions, hyenas, and hippos. With its unique landscape and abundant wildlife, the Ngorongoro Crater is a safari experience like no other. After a picnic lunch by the Hippo Pool, we’ll drive back to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location by evening. Cherish the memories of this spectacular adventure as you say goodbye to your Nafika Tours team.

Hiking Kilimanjaro was a bucket list trip and I was in good hands with chance venture tours. It was 100% super amazing Hiking Kilimanjaro was a bucket list day trip and I was in good hands with chance venture tours. It was 100% the right choice. I’m a south Africa, traveled with a friends. We had solo hikers, couples, and 2 kids, friends in our group of 4.The group camaraderie was priceless. Chance venture tours are true professionals. I felt safe and supported the entire time, plus very well fed with tasty food and I can be a food snob sometimes too. They pick you up from airport, select a great hotel, help with any local excursions, check your gear- have gear you can rent if needed, daily medical checks on the mountain, morning wake ups w coffee or tea, snacks and hot tea during hikes. Kindly reccomended you chance venture tours for the nextadventure of your life time you wont regret to choose them!

A dream came true In September we climbed Kilimanjaro on the 7-day Lemosho route with Chance Venture Tours and we had an unforgettable time! Our guide Goodchance supported us at all times, motivated us with different songs and always took care of our health and well-being. He taught us a lot about the mountain, the landscape and the vegetation. We can now also speak a few words in Swahili. :-) We had a lot of laughs and unforgettable moments with the whole team, for which we are very grateful. The food was always fresh and lovingly prepared. It always tasted delicious. Many thanks to our chef Mokozi! Climbing Uhuru Peak was a dream come true. We reached the summit just in time for sunrise and were able to experience a wonderful morning atmosphere. A big thank you to our porters, Emmanuel, Calvin, Daniel, Gift, Elinami, Jemsi and Anolrd, who worked incredibly hard to support us. We will always remember this amazing week with these lovely people and thank them from the bottom of our hearts for everything. Keep up your positive attitude to life! Hakuna Matata! We can absolutely recommend this company for your Kilimanjaro adventure!
